Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles, known in Japan as Biohazard: Umbrella Chronicles, is an upcoming shooter game and the 7th installment in Capcom's Resident Evil series. The game is currently slated to be released on November 13, 2007 in North America, November 15, 2007 in Japan, and November 30, 2007 in Europe, except in Germany, where the game will not be available due to the lack of a USK rating.
The game follows the story behind the downfall of the Umbrella Corporation by revisiting scenarios from Resident Evil Zero, Resident Evil, and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. It will conclude with an assault upon an Umbrella stronghold. Known playable characters include Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, Rebecca Chambers, Billy Coen, Carlos Oliveira, Richard Aiken, and Albert Wesker.
On October 31, 2007 it was revealed that Rebecca Chambers and Richard Aiken would have their own playable scenario in the Spencer Mansion.
